The first novel, Sherlock Holmes and the Scarlet Thread, tells the origin story of Holmes and Watson— reimagining the iconic events from Arthur Conan Doyle’s A Study in Scarlet.
Sherlock Holmes left London ten years ago. He’s 29 now and spent the last decade living out of a backpack, traveling the world while perfecting his skills of observation and deduction.
Dr. Watson was shot ten months ago. The half-Thai/English former soldier is in Bangkok recovering from his battlefield injuries when tragedy strikes: the most important thing he owns is stolen from him.
Desperate for help, Watson turns to a mysterious foreigner that locals call the wizard. The man he meets is unlike anyone he’s ever encountered. Ten years on the road have turned Sherlock Holmes into something of a legend, solving the unsolvable from country to country.
But Thailand is different.
Beneath the neon lights and crowded streets of Bangkok, a darker mystery waits to be uncovered. What begins as a simple theft spirals into something far more sinister— a trail of deception, murder, and secrets that stretches across the city.
